Peter J. Carroll (1953–2026) was one of the founders of The Magical Pact of the Illuminates of Thanateros (IOT), which he led for a decade. He spent thirty-seven years in research and experimentation and was the author of Liber Null & Psychonaut, Liber Kaos: The Psychonomicon, Psybermagic, The Apophenion, Octavo, and Interview with a Wizard.
